The hardest part of telling this story is realising that George will never be with me again. The day we lost him, we had more than our horse taken away, we lost the future we had with him, summer days and hacks, hazy summer camps and sunsets, winter nights of checking rugs and frosty mornings seeing his breath mist the air.
